Elke Wohlfahrt peintre-sculptrice est titulaire d'un diplôme d'art plastique de l'Université de Sydney. Elle réside à Sydney, Australie, où elle a créé « Indeterminately Scrunched 1-8 » (Froissements indéterminés 1-8), une série de « peintures sculpturales performatives » sur papier de riz.
La fascination pour ces huit œuvres naît du nombre illimité de peintures ou de sculptures singulières qui peuvent être créées librement au mur comme au sol.

The fascination of the eight pieces is that unlimited numbers of unique wall or floor sculptural paintings can be freely created.
